BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION

TechnoDeal S.r.l. is a spin-off company of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna funded in 2000 to offer consulting and management services, and international network of excellence on technical, scientific and economic issues. Before 2009, TechnoDeal market was on demand, with few clients asking technical due diligences or technical consultancies. The market strategy was based on the direct contact with a short list of well know clients: Studio Novello e Vitale, Sviluppo Italia, FINEV S.p.A., Spinner, Cassa Risparmio di San Miniato (Local Bank), AIFI (Italian Association of Venture Capital), Belvedere Spa, M31.
The current business model of TeD is based on four main activities:

  • technical and economic due diligence of projects and investiments – in particular in the fields of mechatronics, microengineering, biomedical engineering, ICT – for companies, banks, and institutional funding agencies;
  • assistance to start-up companies operating in high-tech areas;
  • training of analysts – technical and financial – operating in high-tech areas;
  • promotion entrepreneur initiatives of young researchers.

TeD has its offices in Peccioli, a small town in Tuscany that can be considered the “living lab” where the SSSA carries out research activities on longevity and assistive technologies since 1995.


MAIN TASKS WITHIN THE PROJECT

Beside other WPs, TeD is involved as leader in WP10 to provide the management of dissemination, and intellectual properties rights activities. In addition, TeD is strongly interested in the exploitation of Robot-Era Framework after the IP ending. Finally, TeD will operate to support all the local logistic activities to implement the Robot-Era robotic services/scenarios.


PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

TeD has not participated before in EU funded projects, but its members have already a long experience in the management of EU research projects, and in the definition of exploitation and business plans on high-tech solutions and products. In addition, TeD carried out a number of legal-economic-technical-scientific analyses and studies involving the multidisciplinary expertises of the members of company and of other experts of the SSSA.

PEOPLE

Dr. Damiano Giuntini has a Master Degree in Economics since 2000. He worked in many Companies devoted to technical Research and market exploitation. The most significant are
- CDC SpA, one of the top five Italian Company in ICT market (both hardware and software);
- Acta SpA, a R&D Company listed on AIM London Stock Exchange market since 2005.
In these Companies, his work was focused on financial management and new product market development (financial risk analysis, customer profiles, market analysis).
Since May 2013 he is CEO of Technodeal and he deals with many tasks EU financed Project management and acts as connection between Academic Research Groups of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and Industrial partnerships

Dr. Marco Bardini retired from SIB s.r.l. few months ago. He is a share holder of TechnoDeal and he supervises all the IPRs issues. He participated in the application and filing of thousands of national and international patents and he will collaborate in the Robot-Era Project.

T. PagliaiTeresa Pagliai graduated in Computer Science Engineering for Enterprise Management at the University of Pisa, Italy, in 2010.
Currently she has a contract with TechnoDeal.
